Representative Nathaniel Ledbetter Elected Alabama House Majority Leader

Our very own Representative Nathaniel Ledbetter was elected as the new House Majority Leader by the House Republican Caucus. "I am deeply grateful for the trust and confidence that my Republican colleagues have placed in me, and I look forward to serving as their leader for the next few years," Ledbetter said to Chip Brownlee of the Alabama Political Reporter. 


5th Annual Made In DeKalb Expo Success

The Fifth Annual Made In DeKalb (MID) Expo was a huge success yesterday as over 1,800 students were able to meet the industries in DeKalb County Alabama. 15 of the 16 Career Clusters were represented by 74 participating vendors such as transportation, logistics, construction, engineering, agriculture, tourism, mechanics, cosmetology, healthcare, and the media met their future workforce.  Read More...

TVAED VSCP SilverFORT PAYNE has been designated as a Valley Sustainable Silver Community in Tennessee Valley Authority’s (TVA) economic development program. Fort Payne recently completed the program sponsored by TVA and developed and administered by consultant Boyette Strategic Advisors (BSA.) “This takes Fort Payne’s economic development marketing efforts to prospective and existing sustainably-focused companies to a whole new level,” said Jimmy Durham, Executive Director of DeKalb County Economic Development Authority.
